Our Cottages are the same scale as dollhouses (1:12 scale) and are exquisite in every detail.
With thatched and slate roofs, heavy stonewalls and whimsical, storybook windows, the two-story timber framed is perfect for insulating against weather of most any extreme. A secret compartment on the side of the cottage allows the caretaker to light the cottage from within and includes a UL approved light and exterior electrical cord.
The Mustard Seed Cottage
Many stories have been forgotten over the centuries but thankfully, some characters continue to live on in the written word. You may not realize that the fairies in William Shakespeare’s A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM were not just figments of Mr. Shakespeare’s bountiful imagination. Oh, no. Those fairies were in fact William’s real, live muses! One of his most inspiring influences was the mystical, Monsieur Mustardseed. The tales of this little character are far too many to share with you here but suffice to say that M. Mustardseed is legendary amongst all in the world of faerie. William took great care of his collaborators and saw to it that they lived comfortably. You see here the very cottage in which Mustardseed Fairy has lived his entire life quite happily.
